FAQ

Fourteen questions, answered properly.

No dodging. If an answer is "it depends", we tell you what it depends on and what it usually lands on.

Money

How much does a website actually cost?

$390, $850, $1,850 or $3,200. That is the whole price list. All four are laid out here with exactly what is in each one.

Why are you cheaper than the agency that quoted me $12,000?

Because they have an account manager, a project manager, an office and a sales team, and all four need paying. We have three people who do the work and no layer in between. If you need a big team, a custom app, or a company with 40 employees to satisfy a procurement department, we are genuinely the wrong choice.

Do you take payment plans?

On anything over $1,500, yes — three payments instead of two, agreed before we start. On smaller builds it is 50% up front and 50% on launch day. We do not start work before the deposit clears, which protects both of us.

What if I hate it?

You will have seen it on day two or three, long before the invoice is settled, and your revision rounds are included. If we are truly going in circles, we will stop and refund the remaining work rather than keep billing you for something you do not want. That has happened twice in sixty projects and both times it was the right call.

Timeline and process

How fast can it actually be live?

The Rookie is five working days from the day you send your content. The Starter Shop is ten. If you need it sooner, rush delivery adds 40% and halves the timeline — we have turned a one-pager around in 48 hours for someone with a market on Saturday.

The one thing that delays projects is content. If your photos and text arrive late, the clock restarts. That is not us being difficult, it is just how building works.

What do you need from me?

Your logo if you have one, photos of what you sell, and two sentences about who buys it and why. That is the whole list. Missing pieces are fine — we would rather start with what exists than wait three weeks for perfect assets that never arrive.

Do I have to get on a call?

No. Most projects are done entirely over email, which suits people who run their business at 11pm. The Growth Build includes one call and the Full Launch includes two, but they are optional and short.

The practical stuff

Do I need a logo before we start?

No. Plenty of good brands launch with strong typography and no logo at all — it looks deliberate and clean. If you want one, a logo from scratch is $290 and takes about a week: three directions, two rounds of changes, and every file format a printer or a printer will ever ask you for.

Can I edit the site myself once it is live?

Yes, and we insist on it. You get a walkthrough video, every login, and a platform you can actually use. Change your prices, swap photos, rewrite text, add a product. If you would rather not touch it, the $79/month care plan covers small edits.

Where does the site live? Am I locked in?

Your domain, your hosting, your code, your content. Registered in your name from day one. If you leave, you take everything and we help you move it, free. We do not hold domains hostage — it is a disgustingly common trick and we will not do it.

Do you do SEO?

We do the fundamentals properly on every build: real page titles, honest descriptions, a sitemap, clean headings, fast pages, and a Google Business Profile if you sell locally. That is what gets a new brand found for its own name.

We do not sell ongoing SEO retainers or promise you page one for competitive keywords. Anybody who guarantees that is guessing or lying, and usually both.

What about email marketing?

Capture boxes come with the Starter Shop. The Growth Build adds three welcome emails, and the Full Launch adds abandoned-cart recovery. We set them up in whatever tool you already pay for, or recommend one — usually that is free until you have a few hundred subscribers.

Straight answers

What can you not do?

Custom web apps, mobile apps, complex membership portals, marketplaces, enterprise integrations, and anything needing a team of more than three. We also do not shoot product photography or run your ads. We are very good at one thing: small, fast, good-looking sites that sell. If you need something else, we will tell you and often point you at someone better suited.

Did you cold email me? How did you get my address?

Possibly. We do reach out to people who have just launched a brand, and we only ever use an email address that is published on your own site, your public business page, or a business directory. Never a personal address, never a bought list.

If you would rather not hear from us, reply "stop" and you are gone from every list permanently. No confirmation email, no "are you sure", no follow-up in three weeks. More on how we handle data.

Are you a real business? Can I check?

Fair question, given how many people cold-email about websites. Ask us for the last three invoices we sent, or the contact details of any client we worked with. We will send them without hesitating.

Our full company details, address and tax information are at the bottom of every email we send.

Question not here?

Ask it. You will get an actual answer from an actual person, usually within a few hours.
